Based on the same principles as the intergenerational compound this prototype can be seen as a self-supporting elderly home. Fardknäppen is completely self- managed by the inhabitants who are all in the third stage of life. The whole ground floor is used for collective program. Eating together is one of the main binding programs that not only is supported by the people that live in the building but also by the elderly from the surrounding neighbourhood.
