With ending resources we have to find new materials to use for building. Experiments in using wood (i.s.o. concrete) as construction material in highrise and other urban typologies are taking place on several places. This eight story pilot project was erected in Växjo in Sweden. In Sweden the building industry is dominated by the so-called concrete maffia, but it also has the largest forest area in Europe.

Limnologen is constructed with CLT floors and walls on a concrete basement. The design is made by Arkitektbolaget for Midroc proeperty development.
